Sensex, Nifty flat ahead of India CPI data; IT stocks shine on Fed rate cut hopes

Sensex and Nifty opened flat on December 12 as with the US CPI data out of the way, investors now await India's CPI data, due later in the day, to provide cues for the Reserve Bank of India's trajectory on rate cuts.
